Terry H. of Winnipeg, Manitoba built his wife a second spoon rack — this one cut in the shape of a horse. She drew the idea on a piece of wood, Terry traced a horse onto a board, and the jigsaw did the rest. The finished rack now holds roughly thirty souvenir spoons on three rails.
The wood was left over from a kitchen renovation, already finished white on top and blue underneath, which is where the two-tone look comes from. Terry calls himself a beginner, worked on it over about a month with a table saw, jigsaw and drill, and spent around $30 on supplies.
In Terry’s words
My wife wanted another spoon rack. She drew a picture on a piece of wood. She likes horses, so I traced a horse on a piece of board. We got our kitchen redone and we had leftover wood, white on the top and blue on the bottom.
