With a builder for a father, it was inevitable I would eventually have a hammer in my hand, pounding nails with the framing crew, although more often merely the gopher. Still, it was wood, and I was working with my hands.
Our first project together was a desk for my bedroom using a plan from one of the school magazines. That enjoyment from working with wood and my hands continues to this day, and I try to keep current with all things woodworking – tools, finishes, everything.
I founded Blue Heron Website Development and Blue Heron Stillness. I’ve also taught at Williams College.
