These end tables were built and designed by Madison from This Faithful Home, and they’re perfect for any room in your house. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, this guide will walk you through the steps to create stylish end tables that fit your decor.

Materials and Tools Needed
- 2” x 3” boards
- 1” x 3” boards
- Wood glue
- Wood screws
- Kreg Jig for pocket holes
- Sandpaper
- Wood stain (Minwax semi-transparent golden oak)
- Old shop rags
- Drill
Step 1: Cut the Wood Pieces
Start by cutting the wood pieces according to the measurements provided. For each table, you will need:
- 4 legs (24 inches each)
- 4 pieces for the box frames (15 inches each)
- 4 pieces (9 inches each)
- 1 piece (5 inches) for an extra bracing piece
- 5 pieces for the top (20 inches each)
- 7 pieces for the shelf (11 inches each)

Step 2: Drill Pocket Holes
Using the Kreg Jig, drill pocket holes in the necessary wood pieces. This tool will create hidden spots where you can screw two boards together effectively. It’s an essential step for assembling the boxes that the shelf and the topper will sit on.

Step 3: Assemble the Boxes
Now it’s time to assemble the boxes. Start by laying out your pieces and applying wood glue to the joints before securing them with screws. This adds extra strength to your project. Make sure to screw the shelves into the base from the top and use pocket holes for added support.

Step 4: Attach the Legs
Once your boxes are assembled, attach the legs to the boxes. Drill pilot holes for the screws, apply glue, and secure the legs with wood screws. Ensure they are slightly sunk so you can fill them with wood filler later.

Step 5: Add the Top and Shelf
Place the top and shelf onto the assembled boxes. Apply glue to stabilize them before screwing them into place. Don’t forget to fill any screw holes with sandable and stainable wood filler to give your tables a clean finish.

Step 6: Sand the Surface
Before staining, give your tables a good sanding to smooth out any rough edges and surfaces. This step is crucial for achieving a professional look.
Step 7: Stain the Wood
Now for the fun part! Apply the wood stain using an old shop rag. Make sure to work in a well-ventilated area, and use cardboard underneath to protect the surface you’re working on. This will enhance the natural beauty of the wood.

Step 8: Install the Power Cord
After the stain dries, install the power cord on the back of the tables. This will allow for easy access to electrical outlets for charging devices. Drill the outlet into place securely.

Step 9: Final Touches
Once everything is assembled and stained, your end tables are ready to be delivered! Make sure to check that everything is secure and functioning as intended.
